About
Yin Somatics brings together a few key elements into embodied practice: sequences of slow-flowing movements, stillness in postures, deep relaxation and mindfulness. Movements that are gliding and close to the ground can help release and realign connective tissues and promote a greater freedom and range of motion. Many of our aches, pains and stiffness are a result of habitual ways of how we use our bodies. Yin Somatics offers a way to rejuvenate our nervous system and facilitate our body’s ability to restore balance and heal. This workshop introduces participants to Yin Somatics through guided, embodied practices and movements that can awaken somatic amnesia or held patterns and increase awareness of the subtle body. Come experience a deeper understanding of your movement and tension patterns and unravel and reveal your body’s healing capacity.
